Lindsay Lum, an Awaken Graduate, shares her story in Season 1, Episode 3 of Stories of Transformation.
At Communities of Transformation, each weekly meeting begins with a shared meal. This meal not only provides sustenance, but also provides opportunities for meaningful conversations. It is an integral part of a strong COT community. The act of “breaking bread” together has been used since biblical times to bring people together, to strengthen bonds, and to build trust and cooperation. When a diverse group of people gathers together at a table to share a meal, everyone is equal.

Who We Are
COT Mobile seeks to meet people where they are. As a community, we seek to walk with each other as we grow and move towards a stable future. Everyone is welcomed with open arms into a supportive and uplifting environment. We are strategic in our planning of programming geared toward addressing the needs of the current participants. We are working to become part of the continuum of care that nonprofits in Mobile offer to families in transition. We strive to work with community partners to connect families to resources needed in their long term planning. Change is a process and we want to support you as you take that next step. We have fun! We have a children’s program! We break bread together! We share good news! And, we would love to see you at our next meeting on Thursday night at 5:45 at 3 Circle Church on Sage Avenue!
