Transformational Learning

Is your church, mission team, or organization interested in a holistic, relational approach to poverty alleviation? Do you question how your service can make a deeper impact?  Are you ready to take the next steps towards transformation?
COT can help!

Cost of Poverty Experience

The Cost of Poverty Experience is a 2.5 hour immersive experience that gives you the opportunity to gain a glimpse into the lives of families in our communities that face poverty everyday. COPE gives participants an opportunity to experience poverty firsthand through the eyes of real families. The experiential nature of this training helps organizations and communities more deeply understand the complexities of poverty, paving the way for addressing the issues of poverty more comprehensively.

Check out the calendar below for upcoming COPEs in your area.

SHIFT: Relationships Can Change How We Think About Poverty

We all want to see lasting change in our communities, but knowing how to get there is another story. SHIFT is an online course that will help you or your organization reimagine your approach to poverty and put practical tools in your toolbox to help your community thrive. Along the way, you’ll hear firsthand stories of those with lived experience, wrestle with questions together with your learning cohort, and work through short but powerful assessments and exercises.

This is a three week virtual course facilitated by COT's Director, Katy Wrona.
COT is facilitating a SHIFT learning cohort in July. To register, see the calendar events below. There is a $10 registration fee for the course.
