About the Awareness Walk

The COT Awareness Walk: Addressing Poverty Through Community is a fundraiser to help spread awareness around poverty and holistic poverty alleviation. Many families are challenged by the broken systems in our communities such as transportation,  food security, affordable housing, and access to resources. We hope to bring awareness to the daily struggles of many families in our communities and our holistic approach to alleviation.

What is holistic poverty alleviation?

At COT, we believe that poverty is more than a lack of financial resources. We believe that spiritual, relational, physical, and intellectual resources are just as important for a balanced and thriving lifestyle. We use the power of a supportive community to strengthen all of these dimensions.
