Dothan, Alabama

What we are doing now...

COT Dothan just finished a six-part series called Eat Smart, Be Active. We practiced cooking healthy foods and exercising. One cornerstone of COT Dothan is community service; we love to help our community partners! Some of the organizations we serve include Evergreen Presbyterian Church, Women of the Passion, the Carver Museum, and the Southeast Alabama Community Foundation. When a month has five Tuesdays, we celebrate with a game night. Sometime we go bowling; sometimes we play silly games; we've even been to a waterpark!

Communities of Transformation Dothan meets on Tuesday nights at 5:30 p. m. at Evergreen Presbyterian Church. For more information on COT Dothan, contact Rosaland Harrison at rosaland.cot.dothan@gmail.com.

How we started in Dothan...

Communities of Transformation Dothan is the pilot site, operating since July 2013.  Since COT Dothan's beginning, several classes of Participants have completed the Awaken curriculum used in training. Dothan volunteers come from all over the community - First United Methodist Church Dothan, Tabernacle United Methodist Church, Evergreen Presbyterian Church, Enterprise First United Methodist Church, and Westgate Church of Christ - and work in various professions as ministers, community college teachers and leaders, financial advisors, medical transcriptionists, CFOs, homemakers, and more.
