Previously Served

Hope McCormick, South Walton Community Development

Hope started March 16, 2020, as the Community Development VISTA for Communities of Transformation South Walton. She is working to build capacity for the site, refining curriculum and programming to best suit the needs of the students, recruiting and retaining students and volunteers, and improving marketing and communication within the organization. Hope chose this role with COT for a number of reasons. Poverty alleviation is a passion, partly because she grew up in poverty herself. Her current position allows her to merge her communications and social work skills, drawing from her newspaper expertise and her training as a therapist. Hope is a creative soul who dabbles in songwriting, singing, and scrapbooking. She loves going on road trips to see concerts with her Mama.

Zachary joined COT because he feels as if this will be another avenue he can take to reach out to the community and serve the people!
