Angela Smith began working as Dothan's site coordinator in February 2019. Angela is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a B.S. degree in Marketing and Birmingham Theological Seminary with a M.A. in Biblical Studies. Angela has taught many women's Bible classes as well as served in the women's leadership and on children and Christian Education committees in her church which she has attended for the past 34 years. She is active in her community, presently serving as Vice-President of the Henry-Houston County Association of Service Agencies. She is a published author in "West Dothan Neighbors Magazine" and Undivided Women Christian Blog. Angela has 15 years experience in the Non-Profit setting; 10 years as a development Director including management of a 1.2 million dollar capital campaign. She has also served 3 years teaching, and 2 years as executive director in the non-profit industry. Additionally, She has worked in banking industry and the public school system. Angela has a passion to see people live more abundantly. She utilizes six guiding principles for leadership; 1- Seeing value in others 2- investing in them relationally 3-recognizing and encouraging God-given potential, 4-guiding with wisdom and discernment, 5- Collaborating so mutual participation is possible 6-serving to transform. These six provide a platform to encourage one another to reach goals and live more abundantly. Angela says “Walking with others, responding to them in wisdom helps the individual master abundant living on their own. It is a recipe for serving others in a way that transforms lives and moves community members from striving to THRIVING! Angela has been married to the love of her life for 34 years. They have two married children and one grandchild (with prayers for many more grandchildren)
